North Dakota weather for May

We are planning on driving across North Dakota around May 10, from Montana to Minnesota and was wondering if anyone can relate what king of weather temperatures are normal for that time of the year.

North Dakota weather for May

Temperatures can range from the teens to the 80%26#39;s but most typically I would expect daytime highs in the 60%26#39;s to low 70%26#39;s and nighttime lows in the upper 30%26#39;s to upper 40%26#39;s.

North Dakota weather for May

May is usually a rainy month and it has snowed in June before! We moved from ND a year ago having been born and raised there. Temps in May during the day are usually in the 60%26#39;s. It can cool down fast and when the sun isn%26#39;t out it tends to feel colder in ND. I would check the local weather for Fargo and Bismarck before your trip. Bismarck (western side of state) tends to be quite a bit warmer than Fargo (eastern border) this time of year. Temps at night can dip into the 20%26#39;s so if you are planning on staying in ND, I would bring a jacket. Again, check the weather before you leave.
