Fargo in July?

I am considering a trip to Fargo for the high school wrestling national tournaments during the last week of July. I would like recommendations on a nice hotel close to the Dome. What is the weather like during that part of the summer?

What would be the best way to get there? I am traveling from Los Angeles. I recall someone saying that it was better to fly into some city in Minnesota and driving a rental car to Fargo.

Fargo in July?

Book your hotel now! The rooms disappear so quickly that week. The weather is usually fairly warm but we can get storms (sometimes in the 90%26#39;s but usually in the 80%26#39;s but of course weather patterns can be unpredictable). Its cheaper sometimes to fly into Minneaplis but it%26#39;s a 3 1/2 hour drive to Fargo from there. Airfare is not that much more...watch the sales or check if you have some wiggle room on your dates. Fargo is now serviced by several airlines (Frontier, Northwest, United, Delta) so they are fairly competitive. The $100 you might save off airfare isn%26#39;t worth the hassle in my opinion but to each their own.

I have stayed at the Days Inn near the airport (which is by the Dome) once when we were getting carpets clean and it was nice. But the Homewood and Candlewood suites are nice too and fairly close to the Dome.
