Minot, ND, anything funthere?

Is there anything to do in Minot that is fun? Is it pretty? Any outdoor activities? I%26#39;m visiting my b/f and wanted to plan a weekend that would be fun! Thanks!

I would check what events Minot State University might have going on, though I%26#39;ve been to a back-stage theater performance there %26amp; while I found that quite stimulating %26amp; interesting, I didn%26#39;t have a clue where to park, so hopefully some local can supply tips on that

I%26#39;d suggest the North Dakota State Fair which is usually held there in the summer

I%26#39;d also suggest the Norsk H酶stfest, a Scandinavian festival, held in the fall

The State Fair is over. The Hostfest is a big deal up here. Google Norsk Hostfest. But, IMO, mostly older folks attend. And I%26#39;m an older folk, too. I%26#39;ve only gone once. Not a very ';fun'; place, probably like Vermillion but bigger.

well, yes, I know that too, that the State Fair is over, but only for this year, it%26#39;ll be back next year

since the thread was originally started in 2007, we%26#39;re sorta out of the timeframe of it pertaining to just this summer, so I was just throwing it out there for anybody else who might be inquiring further about Minot

I also would like to add for other folks who may be wondering...this weekend (Sept 20, 2008) is the Garlic and Grape festival in Minot. Never been before, but it sounds interesting!
