What is there to do in ND?
What to do??
While much of North Dakota is farm country (part of the breadbasket of America) there are other things to see and do. Check out the various forts of the trading days, visit Teddy Roosevelt National Park, visit one of the easiest capitals to get to in the nation. See the International Peace Gardens.
What to do??
We have one of the few mummified dinosauers and lots of other great exhibits at the Heritage Center in Bismarck, great planes at the air museum in Fargo, buffalo in Jamestown including several white ones, a riverboat to ride on the Missouri, a pontoon with great education on the Red River of the North and Medora which has all kinds of activities from a pitchfork fondue, a play about Teddy Roosevelt and a musical. That%26#39;s not to mention, the wide open spaces, as well as the great hunting and fishing, and friendly people.
I discovered a really neat place in ND on my recent drive through the state - the Enchanted Highway. You%26#39;ve just gotta see it to believe it. It%26#39;s just off of I-94 in the Western part of the state; you can%26#39;t miss it. Someone has built huge metal sculptures all along this highway. It%26#39;s quite a sight to see when you are driving down the road, the land is flat and you can see for miles, then all of a sudden you see this huge thing in the distance.
