From Western central North Dakota on here? I have some questions! Please message me.
Specifically regarding the area around Alexander ND (the one near Williston).
Thanks
Any locals?
I see you posted this awhile ago. I grew up in that area, in Sidney MT, just across the border, probably 30-40 miles away.
Are you still looking for info about Western ND?

Any locals?
I%26#39;d actually also like to know about western North Dakota. We%26#39;re heading from East Glacier to Deadwood and I was wondering whether a detour through North Dakota would be worth it (as opposed to as near a diagonal route I would go otherwise).
Any advice would be appreciated. Would you go through ND and where should be go (just for a day).
Thanks....
Nah...don%26#39;t detour through North Dakota seeing Glacier and Deadwood area you would be strongly dissappointed... not much to see here.
Just for the cultural experience, I would say drive through Sidney, possibly coming from the north, where you can see Fort Union, an old trading post on the Missouri River. And while you%26#39;re there you can go see the confluence of the Missouri and Yellowstone Rivers.
Head east from Sidney to Watford City, and then head south on Hwy 85, where you can opt to drive through the north loop of Teddy Roosevelt National Park. It%26#39;s a gorgeous drive, and the terrain you will see would surprise you; you wouldn%26#39;t think you were in North Dakota.
Stay on 85 until you hit I-90, then head west and see Medora, a hidden-away town in the badlands. Have lunch, or stay the night and see the musical if you are visiting during the summer. Take a drive through the south loop of Teddy Roosevelt Park, and then make your way to Deadwood.
I agree with the recommended drive thru Teddy Rooseveldt National Park. You won%26#39;t regret it. North Dakota鈥檚 badlands are much more rugged %26amp; colorful than South Dakota鈥檚.
The park is in 2 parts, the North %26amp; South Units. N is by Watford City and the South Unit is just along I-94 (NOT I-90 as someone said) and to the north. Medora is a fun little town and make sure you go to Chateau de Mores, the Pitchfork Fondue, and the Medora Musical.
Is all of Oregon going to NDak this year?
We got the room so shouldn%26#39;t be too crowded.

Good one, Malebird!
Rivergallery, you shouldn%26#39;t pass thru ND without a stop at Medora and Teddy Rosevelt Park. What a feel good experience they are! Gives you a taste of the old west along with current ND friendliness and beauty!
