My husband and I have to come to Williston for a couple of days the second week of December on a business trip. What is there to do in Williston? Can anyone suggest some good places to eat? Are there any small shops there where I could pick up some unique Christmas gifts to take home to Ohio? I am especially interested in unusual jewelry, handmade soaps and candles. Thanks in advance to any who answer.

Hey, there is plenty to do in Williston. You may want to check out one of our several parks, such as Spring Lake Park, or Harmon, both of which have amazing Christmas displays in December. There is a locally owned giftshop downtown with a wide selection, and Herman Oil Convience has a gift shop in it as well. Some good restaurants include the Trapper%26#39;s Kettle (very unique), Dakota Farms, of the locally owned Gramma Sharons. Post if you want more info. and I hope you enjoy your stay.

Actually, very little to do in Williston. That%26#39;s why we moved away last year. People in the oil business are the only ones to come. There is unfortunately not a good place to eat in town. You are better off buying something at the grocery store and bringing it back to your motel room. There are no shops to purchase anything unique. All Willison has are budget discounters such as Wal-Mart. My suggestion: Stay only as long as you need to in Williston.
